I respect folks that can go into a new culture, learn the language (even if it's broken english) and work there. The English language is a difficult one to learn.

There are a lot of Americans that haven't even mastered the language!

Even when in ferin... err.. foreign countries Americans expect the locals to be able to communicate in English. That's one way Americans get the 'rude american' stereotype applied.

BTW it isn't foreigners...it's the sorriness that is so pervasive in our own culture. If folks would blame themselves as easily as they blamed everyone else or everything they are afraid of cuz they don't understand, our culture wouldn't be in the shape it is. It's never the perp...it's thier circumatances that are blamed...by liberals and conservatives alike...The sorriness of our society knows no political bounds.

Yep screw it lets all just boycott restaurants until we learn the native tongue off the country the food represents. That will show em.

Hell if you cant go into a place of business that deals in service and communicate your order it sucks. I hate going to a mexican restaurant "love the food" here and when I ask for something other than me just pointing to the menu they stand and stare for a minute before getting someone that can understand me. IM like GD it rudolpho enough allready go get somebody else. Hell every other restaurant here finds wait staff that can speak fluent English. Wouldn't bother if I was actually in Mexico.
